How We Keep Guides Fresh

Philippines travel info changes — ferry schedules shift, entrance fees rise, hostels close, visa rules get tweaked. We keep our guides useful by revisiting them on a schedule, and by stamping every page with a "Last updated" date so you know exactly how current the information is.

What Gets Updated, and When

• Visa rules and fees — checked against the Bureau of Immigration whenever a rule change is announced, and re-verified at least every 6 months.
• Prices (hostels, meals, tours, transport) — reviewed every 3-6 months, with seasonal swings (dry season vs. wet season) noted on the page.
• Transport schedules — flights and ferry routes cross-checked against operator sites every 6 months.
• Destination recommendations — revisited when we get new ground reports or when a place's reputation changes.

How to Read a "Last Updated" Date

Every guide carries a date near the top. It means the page's facts were reviewed and refreshed on that date. A recent date means the numbers and advice reflect current reality; an older date means that specific page is due for a refresh.
